| How
to get the newsVETTEr from the web site:
With
the exception of a few, most of you are running a Windows system
and are at least using Internet Explorer. However, some are still
having trouble getting the newsletter.
The
newsVETTEr files are saved in a fashion to make them compatible
with Acrobat version 5 and newer. The Windows version really shouldn’t
figure in on the problem. However, your internet connection and
a lack of patience could be a big culprit. Per Adobe, this problem
can be attributed to trying to view the document before it completely
downloads (which is more of problem for the dial-up users, specially
when you consider the size of the file ).
So,
here is what you should do:
1)
Right Click on the newsVETTEr link on the web site ( that means
click with the right most mouse button, if your mouse is left
handed then the left most)
2)
Select from the pop-up menu the selection that says either: “Save
Target as..” Or “Save Link Target as” (this
differs across browsers)
3)
Save the file to “My Documents” directory and put
the file where you desire
4)
Once the file has finished downloading, then navigate to “My
Documents” and open the file.
If
you haven’t done it yet, get the latest Acrobat Reader (Version
7) and install it. It’s free and easy to install. |
